Introduction
The 613 Laws Contained In The Torah
248 Positive - 365 Negative
The number of laws contained in
the five books of the Torah, 613, is of great interest. There are 365
negative laws instructing us of the harm that comes to those that disobey.
365 corresponds to the number of days in a year. The 248 positive laws
instructing us in the blessings to the obedient people of God, corresponds
to the number of bones contained in a human being's body.
Interesting enough, if one considers Ezek 37 and the valley of dry
bones raised from the dead and ties it to the 248 positive laws, then one
might assume a deeper meaning of the prophecy of the re-establishment of
the Torah in the true church in these last days. The question here is
which one's of the 613 found their way into the early church and how many
can we find referred to in the New Testament..
